Here is step by step tips to recover yahoo email account:

• Go to the Sign-in Helper. 
• Enter your phone number or email address.
• Click Continue.
• If prompted, enter the CAPTCHA code.
• If you can receive text messages to the number listed, click Yes, text me an Account Key. 

If you have access to the email address listed,  select and click Yes, send me a yahoo Account Key.

• Depending on the option you've selected, Yahoo will send an Account Key to your phone or email.
• Enter the Account Key that Yahoo sent in the field provided, then click Verify.
• Select an account to reset from the list connected to your mobile number or email address.

-If you see an account that's not yours? You can remove it by clicking remove it here.

• Click Continue.

From a desktop or mobile web browser:

• Go to the Yahoo Account security page.
• Click Change password.
• Enter a new password.
• Click Continue.

From most Yahoo mobile apps:

• Tap the Menu icon .
• If using the Yahoo Mail app, tap Manage Accounts.
• Tap Account info.
• Tap Security settings.
• Enter your security code.
• Tap Change password.
• Tap I would rather change my password.
• Enter the new password and its confirmation and tap Continue.

  If these steps don't work in your app, change your password using your mobile browser.

How To Reset a Yahoo Forgotten Password

• Click Continue.
• Follow the instructions given in the Sign-in Helper.
